WRAPPER POLICE

Wrapper Police is built to collect nothing. It is an entertainment / satire tool that analyzes the page you are currently viewing and shows a humorous score — entirely on your own device.

What we collect

Nothing.

Wrapper Police does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, browsing history, or page content.

• No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking pixels.
• No external servers. No API calls. No network requests of any kind.
• No accounts, no sign-in.

How it works

Page text and styles are read in memory, on your device, only to compute a satirical “AI Slop Index.” This analysis happens locally and the data is discarded immediately — it is never saved or sent anywhere.

Your settings (the on/off toggles) are stored locally using Chrome's storage API. If you have Chrome Sync enabled, Chrome may sync those toggle values across your own devices via your Google account; this is handled by Chrome, not by us, and contains only your preference toggles — never page data.

Permissions, and why they are used

• storage — save your settings (toggles) locally.
• activeTab — lets the popup's “Scan this page” button act on the tab you are viewing, only when you click it.
• scripting — inject the scanner into the current tab on demand if it isn't already running, only when you click “Scan this page.”
• Site access — Wrapper Police automatically runs only on a curated list of popular AI / SaaS / startup sites (plus X and Product Hunt). On any other site it stays dormant until you click the toolbar icon to scan that one tab (activeTab). It only ever reads the current page locally; nothing leaves your browser.
